putting choking related "warning labels" on foods like hot dogs is stupid. an insult to all logical common-sense equipped humans. try appropriate baby food maybe?

I came across this website from a news report about your son. At the very moment I was reading the article, my 3 year old daughter was sitting across the room eating a hot dog. In the middle of reading the article, I got up and cut the hot dog into small pieces. It's scary thinking how quickly you can lose your kids. People like to think this sort of thing will never happen to them, but life is so fragile.

We all need to eat slower in this country and that includes children. We also need to learn the Heimlich Maneuver. At a picnic one of the people there tried to eat a half of hamburger bum and all in one bite.

My friend's son just passed after choking on a grape. He was two years old. Could you direct me to possible support groups or organizations I might want to inform her about to help er deal with the grief and create awareness?

I've just reviewed my comments from over 5 years ago. Now my son is returning to Iraq. I still feel the same. God calls babes to his side though we know not his plan. I still keep praying God chooses to leave my son on this earth. Eric will never have to question his service to man or God. He is serving God as we speak. Some felt my original words were harsh but they were words of truth. They were words that should relieve guilt. We are only human and God is divine. He knows all and the truth.
I pray for all who have lost a child at any age, by accident ,war, violence. They all have no answer. Just pain.
