Judy
Hello Eric,

A poem, written by your Mom and Dad, on the beautiful website devoted to you is titled *Please Say His Name.* So, I shall.

Dearest Eric, I never knew you in person, but I know that you were the baby, soon to be the beautiful little boy, who was the light of your parents' eyes. You left Joan and Mark all too soon, cruelly too soon, certainly not of your or their choosing, and their grief continues to this day.Your Mom has written a poem *Eric You Are Mine* in which her fierce love for you shines through. She says that she can feel you, and I believe she is right. I would like to think that you are happy, and that your spirit surrounding your Mom and Dad is strongest when their grief becomes too intense and profound to bear alone.

There is a poem called *The Rainbow Bridge* in which all the animals who have died, young and old, weak and strong, healthy and sick, all become beautiful and whole again. They play and frolic in an Elysian Field at the end of which is a beautiful Rainbow Bridge. Suddenly, one of the animals pricks up its ears, stands stock still and rushes toward the beloved one who is approaching. He runs from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

*You have been spotted, and when you and your beloved finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands once again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the beautiful eyes of your child, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...*

I like to think of you, Eric, playing in Elysian Fields, where there is no pain, only light, waiting for the moment when you can at last be reunited with your Mom and Dad, who will now be free of their grief and pain forever.

With affection,

Judy
